Catechesis of the Good Shepherd/CGS
What is it?
It is a Montessori-based religious formation program for children, beginning at the age of three. It seeks to create and facilitate a sacred, “hands-on” space for children called an atrium, in which the children and their catechists can hear, ponder, and celebrate the most essential mysteries of the Catholic faith as revealed in the Scriptures, and the Liturgy.
Who can be in this program?
Children ages 3-6 can be enrolled in Level I. Children ages 6 (able to read)-9 can enroll in Level II.
When are the different levels offered?
Tuesdays: 10-11:30am for any homeschool family.
Level 1 Ages 4–6-year-olds that cannot read.
Level 2 Ages 6–9-year-olds (children must be able to read).
1st and 3rd Wednesdays from 3:30-5pm for St Francis/public school children.
Level 1 Ages 4- 6-year-olds that cannot read.
Level 2 Ages 6–9-year-olds (children must be able to read).
Thursdays 8:45-9:45am
Level 1 Ages 3–4-year-olds only.
Cost?
$50/student for the year. The fee will help to attain supplies that are needed for the next level and renew supplies.
