Dear Potential Member,
Registration means more than just having your name on the books. It means you are desiring to be a part of the communial life of the parish. Before registering, a person should consider whether they intend to be a part of the community. Being Catholic means we are striving to be a follower (a disciple) of Jesus Christ. If you want to be a part of the community it means you should expect to contribute and be in relationship with the other members, and most importantly you should be discerning God's call in your life.
Registering means you are identifying St. Joseph’s as your parish home. All Catholics living in the area and regularly worshipping at St. Josephs should register as parishioners. Giving financially is part of supporting the mission of the Church. When you register you will recieve envolopes. Assisting the parish through your finances, through your volunteer time, and by your presence are all valuable ways to support the work of proclaiming Christ in our world.
Formal registration is required for persons wishing to participate in the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Marriage. Registered parishioners are strongly encouraged to commit themselves to the building up of our Catholic community. Registering helps us comminicate with you and it is a sign of your commitment to this journey of faith. There are many ways to get involved. It may take you time to feel ready to get more involved. Please don't hesitate to talk to us at the office if you would like help with getting connected.
